Mediation: the best way to work on your new future.

Fred Menkveld works together with both of you towards an effective solution!

Are you looking for a lawyer/mediator who will guide you through the process of divorce/separation with great care and attention for detail? I am an experienced lawyer/mediator who will conclude mediation with an appropriate dose of humour.

Are you getting divorced or separating?

Fred Menkveld can help you as a mediator!

Every divorce or seaparation, even if expected, is an intense, emotional event. Once it is evident that divorce is inevitable, it is important that both of your interests be represented by a professional lawyer-mediator.

On the one hand, it is important that you consult a lawyer-mediator because the lawyer is able to inform you about the legal processes and advise you and can also complete the necessary procedure for you. For this reason, it is possible for you to entrust me with the entire process.

On the other hand, it is important that you consult a lawyer-mediator because the mediator has been trained for this and is equiped to guide the process even if there is a difference of opinion and (intense) emotions.

I have been a lawyer for more than 37 years and a mediator for more than 16 years and have a great deal of experience as a lawyermediator.

Fred Menkveld is a specialist.

I know what I am good in and do not go beyond that. To be honest, it is difficult enough to be a specialist in the area of law of persons and family law since the law continues to evolve every day! I am a certified mediator, registered with the Association of Family Lawyers and Divorce Mediators (Vereniging van Familie- en Erfrecht Advocaten Scheidingsmediators, vFAS) and the Netherlands Mediators Federation (Mediatorsfederatie Nederland, MfN).

My specialty areas are:

  • divorce and legal separation
  • dissolution of registered partnership
  • parenting plan
  • maintenance, both child maintenance and spousal maintenance
  • care arrangement and contact arrangement
  • division (general community of property)
  • settlement (prenuptional or postnuptional agreement)

If you prefer not to go to mediation but still get a divorce.
